Slide the two foam tubes into the fabric sleeve and close the velcro. If your door is narrower than the sleeve, cut the extra fabric off with ordinary scissors. Open the door slightly, pass the flat connecting strip underneath so one padded tube sits on each side of the door panel, and close the door. That is the whole fitting process.

Because both tubes grip the panel, the seal travels with the door every time it opens and closes. It is not a loose cushion you keep repositioning. Nothing is stuck to your floor and nothing is screwed to your door.

What comes in one GapGuard?

One GapGuard, in maroon-brown, seals one door. It has two foam tubes inside a single fabric sleeve - that is what lets it seal both sides of the door at once.

Will it fit my door?

It fits standard Indian interior doors up to about 36 inches (3 feet) wide. If your door is narrower, pull the foam out slightly and trim it with ordinary scissors - the fabric sleeve stays intact.

Will it move out of place when I open the door?

No. The two padded tubes grip the door panel from both sides, so the seal travels with the door. It is not a loose cushion you have to keep pushing back into position.

Will the door still close properly?

Yes. The foam compresses as the door shuts. If your gap is unusually tight the door may feel slightly firmer for the first few days until the foam settles into shape.
